March’s flower is the flashy daffodil. As I studied its origin, history, and symbolism, I was surprised to see how much it has been referenced in literature. It’s a fascinating and complex flower.

This project made me realize that I don’t appreciate the shape of daffodils. They are garish in color and appearance. Yet, I always appreciate their early appearance in spring as they pop up on the hill before my front windows.
